Ralk & Roll

YES!  I did it.  I RAN!!!  well sort of...  I ralked (run/walk).

I competed in 4 races for New York Road Runners (NYRR) in the span of 3 weekends.  In each, I had to run 3 minutes and then walk for 1 minute, effectively giving me a 75% running experience.  But it was amazing- my competitive spirit was as strong as ever, my body felt great, and my heart was lifted in a way that is hard to describe without getting a little church-y.  

Now the doc says to lay off of running until after having the baby, just to be safe, but I'll have to see.  I did promise to just cross train, but maybe I will run sometimes- just a little- and no one will ever have to know.  I won't even tell my foot!
